Sam Dickinson At Brampton 10/5/2024
After doing the Sam Dickinson Deep Dive after the draft, it was nice to check in on Dickinson and see what he had learned from San Jose Sharks training camp?
A few things to keep in mind with the game:
1. The London Knights were very shorthanded. Easton Cowan (Tor), Kasper Halttunen (SJ), Denver Barkey (Phi), and Oliver Bonk (Phi) were all out of the lineup for London as they were still at their respective NHL camps.
2. The Brampton Steelheads are stacked with many high-end prospects, including Porter Matrone (ranked 4th on Bob McKenzie's preseason list), Jack Ivankovic (potential first-round pick), and six NHL prospects on their team.
The London Knights lost 6-3 in the game; at one point, it was 6-1 Brampton. Dickinson finished with one assist and seven shots on goal.
Sam Dickinson's Offense Is There
For better or for worse, Dickinson was all over the ice on Saturday night. Sam Dickinson was called upon to carry the load offensively without London's top offensive drivers, and he did a lot. Dickinson was the power play quarterback, and the Knights continued to click, going 2 for 8 on the man advantage.
